In Armenia, some local election observers obliged to take a special test
>From April 1 to April 9, the observers representing local
organizations accredited by the Central Election Commission to monitor
the elections will take a special test on conducting elections. This
is reported by the agency NEWS.am quoting the press secretary of the
CEC Hermine Harutyunyan.According to her, after successfully passing
the test, scoring the necessary number of points, they will receive a
certificate of qualification for 3 years.
The test will be taken the members of public organizations "Children
of Victory" (917 observers), "Balanced Development of Communities"
(874 observers), "Pan-Armenian Youth Organization" (1159 observers),
"Fist" (794 observers), "Young Diplomats Club" (1477 observers),
"Proper Legal Society" (584 observers), "Cornerstone" (884 observers),
and "Let's Develop our Village" (1960 observers).
Fifteen public organizations have volunteered to carry out the mission
of observers in the upcoming parliamentary elections in Armenia, but
only representatives of eight organizations will take the test.
According to Harutyunyan, members of other public organizations which
will monitor the elections already have a certificate of
qualification.
