YEREVAN. - The reason for Armenian Police Force Commander Garegin
Gabrielyan's removal from office was the misuse he allowed, and now
a criminal investigation is underway, Zhoghovurd daily writes.
"Gabrielyan, together with his subordinates, sold arms and ammunition
and military equipment spare parts. We learned yesterday [Tuesday]
that the criminal affair's 'coil' has opened so much that it reached
until Armenia's former Police Chief, Alik Sargsyan.
Yesterday Zhoghovurd attempted to clarify this news from Alik Sargsyan,
but the latter said he is at a consultation, he is very busy, and he
hung up the phone," Zhoghovurd writes.
