FOREIGN MINISTER OF CYPRUS PAYS TRIBUTE TO THE MEMORY OF ARMENIAN GENOCIDE VICTIMS

YEREVAN, APRIL 4, ARMENPRESS: Foreign Minister of Cyprus Erato
Kozakou-Marcoullis visited today Tsitsernakaberd - memorial to the
victims of the Armenian Genocide. The Cyprian minister, who is in
Armenian on an official visit, put a wreath at the memorial and
flowers at the eternal fire.
Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis was accompanied by deputy foreign affairs
minister of Armenia Zohrap Mnatsakanyan and director of the Armenian
Genocide Museum-Institute. The latter presented to the guest the
history of one of the greatest crimes against humanity and the symbol
of the monument.
The Cyprian minister left a note in the Commemoration Book of the
museum, saying that the people of Cyprus and she personally share
the tragedy the Armenians have experienced.
The Cyprian minister planted a tree in the Memory Alley and watered
the one planted by the President of Cyprus Demetris Christofias still
in 2009.
The House of Representatives of Cyprus adopted a resolution recognizing
Armenian Genocide in 1982, April 29.
