ANKARA Turkey's EU Minister Egemen Bagis welcomed Swiss prosecutors'
dropping charges against him in an investigation into statements he
made on a bill criminalizing denial of the so-called Armenian genocide
adopted by the French Senate in January.
Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA) on Tuesday said that Turkey
was pleased with the Zurich Prosecutor's decision not to initiate an
investigation against Turkey's EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Egemen
Bagis for making remarks on the Armenian issue while attending the
meetings of the World Economic Forum in Switzerland between January
25 and 29, 2012.
