Attorney of Armenian police officer who alleged he was harassed and
faced discrimination asked to award him $600,000 to $1 million.
The city does not deny that ethnic slurs were made, but instead is
downplaying their significance, The Burbank Leader reports.
One of the witnesses reported an incident involving detectives who were
attempting to mimic an Armenian accent as Steve Karagiosian walked by.
Los-Angeles has launched hearings on an American-Armenian police
officer case, who claimed he had faced ethnic slurs and other forms
of harassment by his colleagues.
