CSTO MEMBER STATES TO DISCUSS GLOBAL AND REGIONAL CHALLENGES

PanARMENIAN.Net - The meeting of Council of Foreign Ministers of the
Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will consider global
and regional challenges, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha said
after a meeting with Kazakhstan's foreign minister Yerzhan Kazykhanov.
Press service of Kazakhstan's embassy in Armenia quoted Bordyuzha as
saying: "We discussed the agenda of the meeting of Council of CSTO
Foreign Ministers, readiness of documents, and some problems to be
proposed for ministerial discussion."
"You know, the Council will first of all consider the global and
regional challenges faced by CSTO member-states, as well as measures of
foreign political impact to reduce threats for our states," Secretary
General stated.
According to Bordyuzha, the ministerial meeting will discuss problems
of Afghanistan, processes in northern Africa, as well as some issues
emerging in CSTO states, in particular, EU sanctions against Belarus
and hot spots in the Caucasus.
Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian is taking part in the
meeting of CSTO Foreign Ministers Council underway in Astana.
