HERITAGE LEADER TO SIGN JOINT HEADQUARTERS DEAL ON ONE CONDITION

The leader of the opposition Heritage party, Raffi Hovhannisyan,
has said he will sign the agreement on creating a joint campaign
headquarters provided the top candidates on the political parties'
majority ballots join the document.
"It is necessary for not only the political parties but also the
leading figures on the majority lists, i.e - the top ten candidates -
to undersign the document. In that way, they would guarantee their
commitment to do everything possible to conduct a free and fair
election," he told a news conference on Friday.
Hovhannisyan said the document should clearly specify the demand for
ensuring equality in expenditures and campaign procedures, as well
finalizing the voter lists and ruling out the possibility of direct
or indirect electoral bribes.
