Azerbaijan and Turkey will conduct joint military-technical studies,
Turkey's Machinery and Chemical Industry Organization (MKEK) said.
MKEK will carry out joint work with the Scientific-Research Institute
of the Ministry of Defence Industry on the production of weapon systems
under the cooperation agreement which was signed between the countries
last year, APA reports.
Several projects on small and artillery arms, as well as explosive
substances, focused by the sides, have been already determined and
it was decided to develop the work.
Joint work on the large-caliber mortar, light gun and small-caliber
arms were also included in the projects.
Besides, MKEK is working on the project on modernization of 12,7-mm
'Istiglal' sniper rifle with the participation of Azerbaijani experts.
