YEREVAN.- Armenian communists' main goal is to build socialism,
head of the party Ruben Tovmasyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
The party refers to examples of the former Soviet Union, Communist
China and Latin American countries which are on their way to build
socialism.
As regards the election program which will be published in the next
few days, Tovmasyan said there must be a law allowing pensioners,
war and labor veterans to receive free medical treatment.
Communists also stand for strengthening of Armenian-Russian relations
in all fields as well as nationalization of strategically important
branches of economy.
"We will spare no effort to protect the alliance of the Russian and
Armenian armies to prevent NATO from entering Armenia," he added.
