"CAFESJIAN" TO CELEBRATE FILM DIRECTOR HAMO BEKNAZARYAN 120 ANNIVERSARY

YEREVAN, APRIL 11, ARMENPRESS. "Cafesjian" Art Center will dedicate
series of the events of "Meeting with the Art" to 120 anniversary
of film director Hamo Beknazaryan and Armenian film. Lilit Sokhikyan
Art Center Public Relations and Marketing Responsible told Armenpress
that the event will declare its launch on April 12. In the frame of
the eminent film director anniversary "Zareh" film will be shown.
Siranuysh Galstyan film scientist, candidate in Arts will perform a
speech on this event.
Discussion is scheduled after displaying the film. "Zareh" screened
by film director Hamo Beknazaryan occupies a unique place as the first
film for Armenian and Kurdish cinema. Silent film tells about a tragic
love of Yezidi village." Zareh" film was shot in one of the Yezidi
village of Armenia in 1926 on 35 millimeters white and black ribbon.
