TURKOLOGIST: AZERBAIJANI MILITARY FUNCTIONARIES LAUNDER MONEY AT MILITARY EQUIPMENT

I have got an impression that all the countries of the region and,
in particular, Azerbaijan, which has been purchasing a great amount of
marine armament, has been actively preparing to the war, Turkologist
Sarkis Asatryan said at today's press-conference. He also linked
the purchase of the armament with laundering of money, especially
if we take into consideration a rather high level of corruption
in Azerbaijan.
"The military functionaries launder money in the military contracts
very often. They buy old military equipment but register it like a
new one and earn big money thanks to that. I would like to recall
that such cases have been already registered in Azerbaijan, when
old military equipment was purchased from Ukraine. The case ended
tragically and was followed with human losses", - Asatryan said.
He also added that the West will not start a war against Iran until
it finds placement of the nuclear objects of Iran which are under the
ground. Only after that the battle actions are possible, otherwise
the war will be long-lasting and bring many victims.
