Leader of Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) Gagik Tsarukyan visited
Echmiadzin on Friday and called on people to participate in the
elections and to vote according to their conscience.
"I talk to you frankly and I want you to understand my goal and what
I say. Vote for whoever you want to, but do not do your relatives a
favor. Vote for those whom you tie your hopes with, whom you trust and
believe, because it is senseless to live without belief. It depends on
your vote what a state you will have during the upcoming five years
and how you will live during those five years. God gave me a chance
and I am ready to help everyone," Tsarukyan said.
Paying much attention to the problems that Armenia is facing now
Tsarukyan singled out the issue of unemployment, stating that people
do not need social benefits and allowances, but they rather need
decent jobs.
"It is impossible to build and strengthen a country through charity,
each person needs attention and good treatment. Smart, sharp and
productive people must be able to earn jobs," Tsarukyan stated.
In his speech the PAP leader said that people often say: "Tsarukyan
has entered a struggle in politics. What does he want?"
"I answer everyone that Tsarukyan does not want anything for himself,
Tsarukyan wants people to have employment, he wants people to live
better, he wants people to forget about emigration, he wants the
youth not to be disappointed, and to fulfill their goals. And we can
provide all necessary conditions and opportunities for it," he said.
