ARMENIA, GERMANY DISCUSS WAYS OF EXPANDING THE COOPERATION IN CULTURAL AND EDUCATIONAL SPHERES

Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian received Cornelia Pieper,
Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
Greeting the guest, Minister Nalbandian underlined that the cooperation
between Armenia and Germany has greatly expanded in political,
economic, cultural and educational-scientific spheres and voiced hope
that opening of the German language center in Yerevan will give new
impetus to the bilateral relations.
The interlocutors discussed the issues on the Armenian-German
bilateral agenda, referred to the developments in the Caucasus and
the neighboring regions.
Minister Nalbandian and State Secretary Pieper dwelt on Armenia-EU
relations, hailing the considerable progress registered in the sphere.
The parties discussed the ways of expanding the cooperation in the
cultural and scientific-educational spheres.
At the request of the guest, Minister Nalbandian presented the latest
developments in the process of settlement of the Karabakh issue.
