Within the framework of the Voter Education and Motivation program,
the International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) in Armenia
has launched the www.armelections.info website.
The website will provide Armenian voters with important electoral
information, particularly as it pertains to the May 6th National
Assembly elections.
The website includes election procedures (covering the preā~@~Pelection
campaign, voting and vote count procedures), voter registration and
voter list updates; and, political party, alliance and candidate
information.
IFES produced and placed public service announcements (PSAs) on
the website as well as posters highlighting the means of checking
and updating voter lists, voting procedures (including citizens
undergoing medical and ambulatory treatment, those voting at their
residence, discharged military conscripts and individuals with no
voter registration in Armenia).
Filing complaints with the appropriate electoral management authorities
is also addressed.
The website has a unique application allowing voters to determine which
political party, or alliance, best corresponds with their policy and
political preferences.
