ARMENIA'S FORMER POLICE CHIEF BACKS PROSPEROUS ARMENIA'S CANDIDATE

PanARMENIAN.Net - Former chief of Armenia's police Alik Sargsyan
visited the village of Tsovagyugh in Gegharkunik province on March 30,
Zhoghovurd paper claims.
Member of the ruling Republican Party of Armenia, Sargsyan backs
Eduard Sahakyan, candidate nominated by Prosperous Armenia party in
the 23rd constituency, and came to Gegharkunik support him. Besides,
Sargsyan aims to oppose current police chief Vladimir Gasparyan in
this province.
The paper tried to clarify the news with Alik Sargsyan, but he would
not respond to phone calls. Prosperous Armenia's MP, coordinator of
the party's headquarters in Gegharkunik, Hrant Madatyan refuted the
rumors saying no such visit ever took place.
Meanwhile, residents of Tsovagyugh claimed the opposite in a
conversation with Zhoghovurd's reporter.
