RUSSIA THREATENS TO MOVE GABAL RADAR STATION TO ARMENIA

Since the collapse of the Soviet Union, a Russian radar station has
continued to function on Azeri territory, in Gabal.
The Russian government pays rent on the location, but recently the
Azeri administration has increased the price. Instead of paying, the
Russians are considering moving the station elsewhere, potentially
to Armenia. Some analysts believe that this is merely a tactic aimed
at lowering Azerbaijan's asking price.
