THE FRESCO OF MINAS "ARMENIA" WILL BE RESTORED

YEREVAN, APRIL 19, ARMENPRESS: Minas Avetisyan's fresco "Armenia" will
be restored by the funding of the Government: it is situated on one of
the walls of Vahramaberd's House of culture which has been affected
by the earthquake. As Armenpress reports, Tigran Sargsyan mentioned
during the session of the Government: "After the restoring the fresco
will again be situated in the Hosue of culture of Vahramaberd. We hope
that there will be benefactors from Gyumri with the help of whom will
be restored the other two frescos of Minas which are on the edge of
abrasion," said the Prime minister. Tigran Sargsyan reminded that
already five of eight frescos of Minas, which are on the edge of
abrasion, have been restored, and the restoration works of fresco
"Armenia" will begin in the near future.
As said the Minister of Culture of RA Hasmik Poghosyan, for the
realization of that works 20 million AMD are needed.
>From the budget of RA 230 million AMD have been provided to the
Ministry of Urban Development for restoring the House of culture
in Vahramaberd.
