The Mother of Jerusalem is Crying
By
Dr. Rosemary Hartounian Cohen
GLENDALE, CA Glendale Public Library invites the public to a lecture and
book signing with Dr. Rosemary Hartounian Cohen, on Thursday, May 31,
2012 at 7pm at the Glendale Central Library Auditorium, 222 East Harvard
Street. The lecture is in English. The book will be reviewed by
journalist Ari Noonan, and there will be an open discussion after the
presentation with the author herself. Admission is free and the seating
is limited. Library visitors receive 3 hours FREE parking across the
street at The Market Place parking structure with validation at the Loan
Desk.
The Mother of Jerusalem is Crying is a sweeping historical novel that
tells the interwoven stories of three families -- Christian, Jewish and
Muslim-- over three generations and three continents. The story
describes their lives in terms of their traditions, triumphs and
tragedies, and how they contended with the violence of the Armenian
Genocide, the Holocaust and the founding of Israel.
