POLITICIAN WHO CARRIES WEAPON WHEN MEETING WITH ARMENIAN PEOPLE IS SCARED OF THEM? - ANALYST

YEREVAN. - The fact that Armenia's oligarchs are returning to the
parliament is disgusting, but now they pose a danger for the very
authorities and the state, capital Yerevan's Regional Studies Center
Director Richard Giragosian said during a press conference on Friday.
In his words, if we see how small an amount of taxes they pay and
how big a portion of the economy they govern, it will be apparent
that they have become a threat for country itself.
"In English, this is the Frankenstein monster, who begins to rule
and assume a ruling position," the political scientist noted.
He asked a question that when a politician carries a weapon while
meeting with the voters, what can be said about him.
"Is he that much scared of the Armenian people, or does this show what
type of a politician he is? But what's important is that the oligarchs
are now becoming the number-one threat for the state and authorities,
and a political will is necessary to resolve this problem," Richard
Giragosian stressed.
