YEREVAN. - It is necessary to settle two issues through the upcoming
parliamentary elections: to abolish monopoly of one party in the
parliament and to change the Government, in order to make deep reforms
and solve the problems of people, Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP)
member, former FM Vardan Oskanian said on Wednesday in a meeting
in Yerevan.
"The Government should have a wider involvement in all fields of
economy. It should be responsible for the development and progress
of concrete fields. Besides, those fields should be under the direct
control of the state," Oskanian said, adding that incumbent authorities
disappointed Armenian citizens.
Prosperous Armenia Party (PAP) is a political power included in the
ruling coalition.
Founded by Armenian biggest businessman Gagik Tsarukyan, the party
debuted in 2007 Armenian parliamentary elections, winning 29 seats
in 131-seat Armenia's National Assembly.
The proportional list of the party includes 165 names. PAP has also
nominated MP candidates with the majority election system. Prosperous
Armenia Party's election campaign slogan is: "Believe, trust, demand!"
