Erekle II Society calls Georgian authorities to recognize Armenian
Genocide, the information center of Yerkramas Armenian paper in
Russia reports.
"Erekle II Society condemns the Armenian Genocide organized in the
Ottoman Empire during 1915-1923. Erekle II Society shares the pain
of the Armenian Nation. The Society thinks that a memorial dedicated
to the victims of that horrible event should be opened in Georgia.
It is not understandable why Georgia officially recognized the
Genocide of the Circassian Nation, while the Circassians themselves
do not recognize it, but it does not recognize the Armenian Genocide,"
the statement reads.
