INDUSTRIAL OUTPUT IN NAGORNO-KARABAKH REPUBLIC IN QUARTER ONE AMOUNTS TO AROUND 9.6 BILLION DRAMS

The industrial output in Nagorno-Karabakh Republic (NKR) in the first
thee months of 2012 amounted to around 9.6 billion drams in current
prices, according to a statement of NKR Statistical Service posted
on its official website.
The figure represented a 2.4% decline from a year earlier.
The mining sector accounted for 26.6% of the overall output, the
processing sector's share was 37% and production and distribution
of electricity, natural gas and water accounted for 36.3% of the
overall industrial output. Production of consumer goods was said
to have grown by 3.4% year-on-year to 2.228 billion drams. Sales of
finished products amounted to 9.480 billion drams.
Sales of meat, including chicken meat, amounted to 652.6 tons. Local
farmers produced also 8,130 tons of milk and 7.8 million eggs. Also
6.5 billion drams worth construction was carried out in the reporting
period of time, up from 6 billion drams from a year earlier.
