YEREVAN, April 25. /ARKA/. Tatul Manaserian, head of Alternative
think-tank, said Armenia's agriculture will see a double-digit growth
in autumn this year, because of 'ongoing growth trends and favorable
weather conditions,' which, according to experts, will continue
through the sowing and harvesting periods.
These are the main factors, which allow to predict a double-digit
growth in agriculture, he said.
According to the National Statistical Service, Armenia's agricultural
GDP last year in current prices amounted to more than 825.2 billion
drams, having increased by 14.1% from the previous year.
In the first quarter of 2012 agricultural GDP amounted to more than
65 billion drams, as much as in the first quarter of 2011. ($1 -392.56
drams).
