On April 24, since early morning thousands of citizens of Artsakh
started their visit to the memorial complex of Stepanakert to pay a
tribute of respect to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.
The NKR authorities at the head of NKR President Bako Sahakyan visited
the memorial complex at 11 o'clock.
Though 97 years have already passed since the genocide, every year
together with my grandchildren I visit the memorial complex to pay
tribute to the memory of the innocent victims of the genocide. I take
my grandchildren to the memorial complex so that they would follow
the example of thousands of Artsakh citizens for the future and would
not forget what happened in Ottoman Turkey, Sumgait, Baku, Maragha and
in other residences as well, Lady Nora says and goes on to state that
the efforts aimed at the recognition of the Genocide should continue.
"If the world had recognized the Armenian Genocide, no Sumgait, Baku,
Maragha events would have occurred", lady Nora assures.
