A group of Norwegian Armenians held a signature campaign for the
Armenian Genocide issue to be considered in Norway's parliament.

Foreign Ministry to clarify the official position.

was adopted in 1948 and it is inadvisable to characterize earlier
events as `genocide', Cihan news agency reports.
Speaking to the agency, Vegarshei Mayor confirmed that the application
had been discussed, the next debate is scheduled for May.
