A young female representative of Syria's Armenian community raised the
Syrian-Armenians problems at the Diaspora Ministry earlier on Monday.
Speaking at the opening of the sixth round of the Come Home program,
she said particularly that many Syrian-Armenians may come to their
homeland in case air tickets are offered at reasonable prices.
"The situation in Syria is very bad; people are not doing well. If
the air fares are lowered, many Armenians will be able to come to
Armenia," said the young participant, Lucie, thanking the Ministry for
the giving her an opportunity to recognize her historical motherland.
Responding to her remark, Minister Hranush Hakobyan said a great
number of children are due in Armenia in the near future.
The event was attended by around 160 young Armenians from Germany,
France, Holland, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Georgia, Iran and Syria.
