ARMENIA'S REPRESENTATIVE AT EUROPEAN COURT TO CONTINUE MISSION FOR ONE MORE YEAR

Davit Melkonyan, who is Armenia's representative at the European
Court of Human Rights (ECtHR), will continue in this capacity for
yet another year.
To note, Melkonyan was appointed to this position on August 1, 2011,
and for a one-year term. And on May 24, 2012, the Council of Europe
(CoE) Secretariat's Personnel Management Department Director informed
Armenia's Permanent Representation at the CoE about the Council of
Europe Secretary General's agreement to extend Davit Melkonyan's
ECtHR mission until July 31, 2013.
So, the Government of Armenia will have to allocate 15,300 euros,
in the latter half of the current year, to secure Melkonyan's mission.
And the housing rental fee alone comprises 5,460 euros, or 910 euros
per month.
Also, additional means will be allocated in 2013.
