ARMENIAN OPPOSITION READY TO RESIST POLICE AND BE IMPRISONED FOR DEMOCRACY

YEREVAN. - Opposition Armenian National Congress (ANC) will struggle
inasmuch as the constitutional right executes in the state, head of
the ANC parliamentary group Levon Zurabyan said during the protest
action in front of the Presidential Residence on Wednesday.
"We will certainly struggle for Armenia to establish fundamental
democratic values. We will achieve the goal by resisting police and
even being imprisoned. We have already proved it during the four years'
of action through the ANC activists and political figures," he said.
Armenian News-NEWS.am has earlier informed that the ANC activists,
members, representatives of civil initiatives have organized a protest
action in front of the Presidential Residence for protection of the
four ANC activists sentenced for 2 to 6 years in jail.
