ZHOGHOVURD: KAPAN DRINKING WATER POLLUTED AS A RESULT OF BAMO METAL COMPANY'S GEOLOGICAL PROSPECTING

Kapan Center of the State Hygiene and Anti-Epidemic Inspectorate
of Armenian Health Ministry has issued a warning to Kapan residents
about drinking water pollution, Zhoghovurd reports.
The Inspectorate claims that water pollution was caused by heavy
precipitation. However, the paper says that geological prospecting
conducted by Bamo Metal Company could cause water pollution in Kapan.
The company denies the claims, however, it stopped its activities for
some days following rumours that it is to blame for water pollution,
the paper writes.
