Sky News has spread a sensational footage that suggests Olympic tickets
meant for officials are being sold on the black market by members of
the Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan.
A man claiming to work for the ministry of Azerbaijan sold
"complimentary" 2012 tickets. The man was offering tickets for the
men's flyweight boxing event. The Azerbaijani sold them for £20. The
seller did not speak English but his friend translated his claim he
had already sold several of the tickets.
The passers-by told everyone to approach the Azerbaijan flag near
which the tickets were sold. The man interviewed said he got the
tickets from the Ministry of Youth and Sport.
Sky News made several attempts to contact The Azerbaijan Olympic
Committee but no one was available to comment.
