SYRIAN ARMENIANS TO SWEAR AN OATH IN ARMENIAN EMBASSY OF SYRIA WHEN RECEIVING PASSPORT

YEREVAN, AUGUST 2, ARMENPRESS: Passport receiving ceremony of our
Syrian compatriots is scheduled to take place either in Embassy or
Consulate of the Republic of Armenia in Syria. As Armenpress reports,
the Government of the Republic of Armenia in August 2 approved the
decision connected to the launch of passport receiving of Syrian
Armenians.
In the words of Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan as according
to Government's former decision citizens of Armenian descent are
enabled a right to receive their passports in Syria, it is available
to organize the oath ceremony there.
"We offer our compatriots to up keep the whole procedure. The
decision is agreed upon Armenian Police, Presential, Justice and
Foreign Affairs Ministries," Hakobyan noted.
In connection with the existing situation Syrian Armenian Community
representatives submit with dual citizenship, refugee status or asylum
applications : which are considered in an accelerated procedure,
at least ten days.
