GLENDALE-Every year, Senator Carol Liu selects several distinguished
women for this award. Dr. Armine Hacopian was honored, along with
four other honorees, from Senator Carol Liu's district which includes
Glendale, Burbank, Pasadena; among other cities.
"I am honored for this distinction, from such a vast geographic
district," indicated Dr. Hacopian. This honor is very meaningful
because Senator Carol Liu is very involved in California's higher
educational issues and is a recognized leader in the Senate.
Dr. Hacopian is the current President of the Board of Trustees at
Glendale Community College. This is her third term as President and
she plans on running for a fourth term as a trustee in April of 2013.

two Masters degrees, six credentials, and a doctorate in Educational
Administration and Organizational Management. Also, she has been an

committees assisting students in writing their dissertations and
thesis.
Dr. Hacopian was one of the co-founders of Chamlian Preschool,
leading to many years of service in the Armenian Community by
participating in the Western Prelacy Board of Regents. Consulting
for LA County Office of Affirmative Action, training the trainers,
and having written numerous training manuals have added to her vast
experience and expertise.

Property Owners' Association, helping her local community. She has
served as a leader for many organizations, such as League of Women
Voters, Glendale Literacy Coalition are to just name a few.

young women in developing their educational programs and guiding
