Russia will do its best for the settlement of the Karabakh conflict
and bringing closer positions of the sides, Russian Deputy FM Grigory
Karasin said in an interview with the Voice of Russia.
"Both Armenia and Azerbaijan are our close CIS partners. We value
relations both with Yerevan and Baku. We are sparing no effort fairly
and honestly to bring closer positions of the sides on Karabakh issue,"
Karasin said.
According to him, it is a complicated story having deep roots and
long history. First of all it is necessary to focus on the OSCE Minsk
Group which is working hard, he added.
Karasin said the Minsk Group Co-Chairs are paying regular visits
to the region where they meet with the leaders to help them find
acceptable wordings for the future documents.
"We support their activities and reckon on concrete results,"
he emphasized.
