Yerevan, August 9, ARMENPRESS: The Syrian Armenian children
successfully arrived Armenia on August 9. They will spend their summer
holidays here by the means of the state budged funds.
As the head of the group dealing with the Syrian Armenians' issues
Firdus Zakaryan mentioned in the interview with "Armenpress", the
children's mood is quite high. "The children with their six heads
arrived in Armenia will settle in the Hankavan "Lusabats" camp",
the latter mentioned.
The nation air carrier "Armavia" company jointly with the government
with the financial support of "Promotey Bank" implemented the first
special flight in the direction of Yerevan-Damascus-Yerevan on August
9. The flight was implemented at 10:00 instead of 8:00 in the morning.
As "Armenpress" was informed by the "Armavia" company's press service,
the delay was caused by the prohibition of any flight by the Turkish
air space.
Yerevan-Damascus-Yerevan flight was implemented by Eerbas-320
aircraft. One passenger left from Yerevan to Damascus, 137 children
arrived Yerevan from Damascus. The aircraft arrived in the Zvartnots
airport at 16:00 due to the flight delay in the morning.
The first group of the Syrian Armenians was transferred to Yerevan
on August 9. The Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan noted in the session
of August 9, that the Executive intends to send another two aircraft
to Syria this time for transferring over 300 children from Aleppo
to Armenia. Yerevan-Damascus-Yerevan next flight is scheduled to be
implemented on August 23.
