YEREVAN.- Aravot daily wrote about the problems of tour operators.
Armenian citizens often trust their money to cheaters, then go to
airport and find out there is no plane which will carry them to the
sea coast although the ticket had been bought, the daily writes.
"There are two options either you should not have deals with tour
operators and contact the hotel directly, or you must appeal to tour
operators having nearly 10-year history in Armenia's market. But in
this case it is necessary to conclude an agreement having legal force.
However, given the peculiarities of national mentality, we can not
rely only on the agreement.
Therefore, government must take certain steps. I think it is necessary
to toughen rules of granting licenses to tour operators. The
government must help restore clients' rights in court and give
compensation for moral damage," Aravot writes.
