SYRIAN CHARGE D'AFFAIRS TO ARMENIA WILL MEET CHILDREN ARRIVING FROM SYRIA

YEREVAN, AUGUST 9, ARMENPRESS: "Armavia" airline has already sent
the firstplane to Damascus which will transfer children from Syria
to Armenia. On August 9 almost 120 Syrian Armenian children will
arrive in Armenia. Armenpress reports that before the session of the
Government on August 9 Deputy Minister of territorial Administration
Vache Terteryan mentioned that the plane had left for Damascus at
10:25 and will be in Yerevan at 14:00.
"The camps are ready; all the ministries had done their works. We
have formed a working group. The regional administration of Kotayk
has provided sanitariums and the municipality of Yerevan has provided
transport" informed Terteryan. In his words the ambassador of Syria
to Armenia had expressed wish to meet the children in the airport.
Representatives of Foreign affairs ministry and ministry of Diaspora
will also meet the children.
Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Sargsyan informed that Armenia is
going to sent two more planes to Aleppo in order to transfer around
300 children to Armenia and organize their summer vacations. "At the
previous session of the Government we declared to allocate money from
the state budget" highlighted Prime Minister.
