Armenian economic activity increased by 7.7 percent

YEREVAN, AUGUST 20, ARMENPRESS: Armenian economic activity has been
increased: growth recorded in industry and agriculture sectors.
National Statistical Service of the Republic of Armenia published 2012
macroeconomic activity indicators covering by August 20 period. As
Armenpress reports economic activity indicator increased in 2012
January-July by 7.7 percent as compared with the same period of the
previous year. In 2012 July economic activity rate has been increased
making 107.2 percent.
Growth has been recorded in industrial output volumes as well. During
the seven months period it amounted to 113.4 percent. In comparison
with the previous year 16 percent growth has been registered.
Agricultural GPD volume has been increased by 15.3 percent as compared
with previous year July. Whereas construction sphere has undergone
decrease. Within January-July construction volumes made over 94.8
percent. Trade turnover indicators amounted 102.9 percent. Average
monthly salary has grown, amounting 101.8, yet during 2012 first
seven months it made 104.6 percent.
External trade turnover increased by 8.1 percent, export and import
increased reportedly by 13.1 and 6. 4 percent.
