On August 17, Friday, a "Quds Day" demonstration was held in
Nardaran, not far from Baku.
APA reports that the demonstration at Imam Huseyn square of the
settlement was led by imam of Nardaran mosque Haji Atameli.
He talked about the "Quds Day" and noted that the aim of Israel and
international Zionism is to keep Muslims under pressure.
Natig Karimov, Head of the Elders' Council of Nardaran district,
criticized Nagorno Karabakh policy of the government. He noted that
cooperation of Azerbaijani government with Israel is not advisable.
Karimov noted that liberty of Muslim territories depends on liberation
of Quds. Then the demonstrators talked about the importance of the
"Quds Day". Afterwards the flags of Israel and Armenia were burnt.
