Kessab Educational Association Donates $5,000 to ARS Syria Relief Efforts

GLENDALE - Representatives of the Kessab Educational Association of Los
Angeles, including Chairperson Yester Chelebian-Tognozzi and Vartan
Poladian, Treasurer, visited the Armenian Relief Society (ARS) of
Western USA's Regional Headquarters on Wednesday, August 15 and
presented a $5,000 check on behalf of their association toward the ARS
`Fund for Assistance to Syrian-Armenian Schools.' Accompanied also by
Dr. Hrair Atikian, the representatives held a productive meeting with
Annie Kechichian, ARS Central Executive Board member; Lena Bozoyan,
Chairperson of the ARS Regional Executive Board; Carmen Libaridian,
Vice-Chairperson; and Jasik Jarahian, General Manager.
During the meeting, representatives discussed the distressing events
unfolding in Syria and severe challenges facing the Armenian
population, including those in Kessab. The Association's
representatives also commended the ARS in its efforts to provide moral
and financial support and attendees of the meeting affirmed that this
issue is one that demands the support of the pan-Armenian community.
On behalf of the ARS Regional Executive Board, Chairperson Bozoyan
expressed her sincere thanks to the Kessab Educational Association for
their donation, which serves as a prime example for others to follow.
