deceived by Happy Voyage

Armenian Embassy in Egypt has temporarily settled the problem of the
Armenian tourists who found themselves in the street due to the fault
of Happy Voyage agency.
The Armenian Foreign Ministry told ArmInfo that through the mediation
of the Armenian Embassy in Egypt, the Armenian tourists were
accommodated at the hotel booked by the travel agency, which further
failed to pay for the hotel rooms. "The Egyptian authorities have done
the Armenian tourists a favor and agreed to accommodate them at the
hotel where the tourists were going to stay. They will stay at the
hotel until the travel agency transfers the required amount to the
hotel's account", the Foreign Ministry said. In the meantime, the
Ministry gave no answer to the question what will happen to the
citizens of Armenia if the travel agency fails to transfer the money
to the hotel's account. ArmInfo was unable to receive any comments
from the Happy Voyage agency, as the agency's telephones did not
answer.
To note, Aravot Newspaper received a statement from a group of
Armenian tourists, who found themselves in Sharm-el-Sheikh instead of
a 5* hotel promised by the Happy Voyage agency. The newspaper says
that the hotel administration threatens to take the tourists to the
police if the tourists fail to pay the required amount for
accommodation, as Happy Voyage did not pay for the hotel services. On
the first day the Sunrise Grand Select Arabian beach resort received
the tourists very warmly and kindly, but the next day, when the
administration understood that the travel agency did not hurry to make
the payments, it warned the tourists of the necessity to pay for the
rooms. The tourists got in touch with Happy Voyage, which promised to
make all the payments but broke their promise. The temporary solution
to the problem was found with the support of the Armenian Embassy in
Egypt.
