YEREVAN. - A group of Armenia's historians, men and women of the arts
and letters, writers, and philologists expressed a concern over the
National Academy of Sciences' Armenian Genocide Museum-Institute
Director Hayk Demoyan's Russian-language thesis, and his overall
activities, Haykakan Zhamanak daily writes.
`They gathered yesterday [Thursday] at a cultural center. The
objective was to discuss the mistakes in Demoyan's thesis.
Literary critic, translator Albert Musheghyan was invited to the
meeting as speaker. And he presented the linguistic and ideological
distortions [in Demoyan's thesis].
As a result [of the gathering], it was decided to send an open letter
to the administration of the National Academy of Sciences, and demand
the dismissal of the Genocide Museum-Institute Director for his
cynicism as well as for his serious distortions and disgraceful
guidance manifested in the thesis,' Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
