Turkish Minister for EU Affairs Egemen Bagis has been infuriated
by the French authorities' decision to include a chapter about the
Armenian Genocide in the text books of the French secondary schools.
Aksam quotes Bagis as saying that instead of distorting historical
facts France should better review its own history and try to be more
active in resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
It was the decision of the Francois Holland administration to include
the Armenian Genocide chapter in the text books of the French
secondary schools. Just like his predecessor, Nicholas Sarkozy,
Holland has promised to have adopted a bill criminalizing the denial
of the Armenian Genocide.
