ARMENIA'S ZVARTNOTS AIRPORT IS ONE OF FIVE BEST IN CIS TO FIGHT FOR EMERGING MARKETS AIRPORTS AWARD

Zvartnots is one of five facilities in the CIS to fight for Emerging
Markets Airports Award, the airport's spokeswoman Gevorg Abrahamyan
said today. Zvartnots airport's bid was submitted by Arabian Reach.
Other competitors from CIS are Domodedovo and Sheremetyevo airports in
Moscow, Pulkovo airport in St. Peterbugs and Manas airport in Bishkek,
Kyrgyzstan. The best airport in CIS will be determined by an on-line
voting. The award will be handed to the winner in 2013, he said.
The prize was founded by Arabian Reach with the support of German
Airports Technology Equipments, Netherlands Airports Technology
Group, British Airports Group, and Middle East Aerospace Consortium &
Local Government Authorities. The main purpose is to determine the
best companies and aviation industry specialists in the Middle East,
Africa, India, Russia, CIS and the Baltic countries.

accordance with the 30-year concession agreement, signed with the
Armenian government in 2001. The company is owned by Argentinean
American International Airports, which belongs to the Argentine
