Members of opposition bloc Armenian National Congress (HAK) who are
opposed to cooperation with Prosperous Armenia Party look forward to
a statement from PAP leader Gagik Tsarukyan that he is not running
for president, 168 Zham reports, citing sources close to Armenian
National Congress.
ANC members who are afraid of the perspective of cooperation between
ANC and PAP as well as the nomination of a common candidate think
it will be their only salvation as ANC will not have to back Gagik
Tsarukyan's candidacy.
According to the paper's sources, in ANC, only Levon Ter-Petrosyan
and Levon Zurabyan want Gagik Tsarukyan's and PAP's nomination for
presidential elections.
