EU DOESN'T CONSIDER NKR NEGOTIATIONS TO BE FROZEN. PHILIPPE LEFORT

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 29, ARMENPRESS: Hostile rhetoric, lack of trust
and communication between Armenian and Azerbaijani society impede any
progress in the NKR negotiations. As reports Armenpress referring to
1news.az Philippe Lefort EU Special Representative for South Caucasus
and Crisis in Georgia noted in Baku.
"EU doesn't consider NKR Negotiations to be frozen. Only its solution
is frozen" Lefort said noting that EU is interested in the peaceful
settlement of the conflict. According to EU representative it is
necessary to continue the negotiation process where both sides will
be reasonable and ready for compromising.
Lefort urged to spare no efforts for uniting the two societies
underlining that the clue of the agreement was to break stereotypes
and reach peace. When speaking about EU priorities in South Caucasus
Lefort noted the prevention of war, transferring regional energy
resources to Europe, spreading European values over the region as well
as coming together against the terrorism, trafficking and cybercrime.
Lefort pointed out that he found no other solution for the conflict
but based on Madrid principals.
