YEREVAN. - Armenian National Security Council (NSC) Secretary and
Interagency Committee on Border Security Chairman Arthur Baghdasaryan
on Thursday received a delegation led by Dmitry Bezdelov, the Head of
Russia's Federal Agency for State Border Infrastructure Development,
who is in capital city Yerevan on an official visit.
Following the tete-a-tete talk between Baghdasaryan and Bezdelov,
an extended-format meeting was held and, subsequently, a protocol
was signed.
Dmitry Bezdelov expressed his satisfaction by the results of his visit
to Armenia and extended his thanks to the NSC Secretary for the warm
reception and productive work.
"We discussed numerous matters. We prepared a list of events in
connection with the opening of Russia's state-run Rosgranitsa Agency's
representation in Armenia. We just need to carry out the programs we
have planned," the Head of Russia's Federal Agency for State Border
Infrastructure Development said in particular.
In his turn, Arthur Baghdasaryan specifically noted: "We worked
very effectively, and the representation of this major agency of the
Russian Federation will operate in Armenia as of 2013. This means a
substantial increase in Armenia's security level, this means major
projects. We specified a road map as to what we need to do over the
course of the next several months."
