JUNIOR WORLD BOXING CHAMPIONSHIPS HAS OFFICIALLY LAUNCHED IN YEREVAN

    20:08, 28 November, 2012

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 28, ARMENPRESS: Junior World Boxing Championships
has officially launched in Sports and Concert Complex after Karen
Demirchyan. Armenpress reports that Gagik Tsarukyan Chairman of
National Olympic Committee of Armenia led the official opening
ceremony. He highlighted the importance of such events to be held
    in Armenia.

"These 8 days are going to turn into a real festive event for us.

Doors of the complex are open for everyone" noted NOC Chairman.

President of Boxing federation Arman Manukyan greeted the guests and
noted that Armenian success in 2009 was the reason AIBA entrusted us
    the organization of the championship.

This year, boxers born in 1994 and in 1995 are the ones eligible to
compete in the AIBA Youth World Boxing Championships Yerevan 2012.

Joining the host nation in battling for medals with full squads will
be Australia, Belarus, China, Cuba, DR of Congo, Germany, India,
Kazakhstan, Russia, Turkey, Ukraine and Uzbekistan. It means that
this current edition will be the very first in which at least one
nation from each AIBA confederation will be competing with a full
    10-member team.
