EPP IS INTENSIFYING TIES WITH LIKE-MINDED LEADERS FROM ARMENIA, GEORGIA AND MOLDOVA

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 30, ARMENPRESS. The European People's Party (EPP)
is currently intensifying its political activities with like-minded
leaders from Armenia, Georgia and Moldova. The Press Service of the
European People's Party informed "Armenpress" about this. This format
of cooperation has been established in 2011 EPP Congress in Marseille.
EPP states: "Thus, the successful leaders' meeting in Batumi, Georgia
earlier this year, the EPP has the pleasure of hosting the 2nd meeting
of EPP Eastern Partnership leaders in Yerevan, Armenia."
The meeting will be chaired by EPP President Wilfried Martens. The
meeting will feature the President of the European Commission Jose
Manuel Barroso, the President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the President
of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili, and the Prime Minister of Moldova
Vlad Filat.
The EPP is the largest and most influential European-level political
party of the centre-right, which currently includes 74 member-parties
from 40 countries, the Presidents of the European Commission and the
European Council, 15 EU and 6 non-EU heads of state and government,
13 members of the European Commission and the largest Group in the
European Parliament.
