Armenian FM circulates list of died citizens in air crash in Congo
YEREVAN December 1
Armenia's Foreign Ministry has circulated the list of citizens, who
died in the air crash in the Republic of the Congo.
The list includes commander Varazdat Balasanyan (born in 1949),
crewmembers Ara Tovmasyan, Tatenyus Oganesyan, Andranik Gevorkyan and
Edgar Avetyan.
Information has come from the Russian Embassy in the Republic of the
Congo at the request of the Armenian Embassy, the Foreign Ministry
reported.
The Il-76 aircraft of Ridge Airways crashed on Friday, November 30, 50
metres from the runway of Brazaville's Maya Maya Airport.
The Il-76 aircraft crashed into buildings beyond the airport, fell in
the ravine and caught fire. Seven crewmembers, including five Armenian
citizens, died.
An investigation has begun to find out the reasons of the air crash,
the ministry said.
It expressed deep condolences to the next-of-kin.
