ARMENIAN DIOCESE OF GEORGIA PARTOOK IN GEORGIAN-IRANIAN CONFERENCE

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS. Georgian-Iranian II International
Conference was held in frames of "the Dialogue of Civilizations"
project and on the initiative of the Georgian University after St.
Andrew the First-Called of the Georgian Patriarchate. The conference
aimed to the analysis of the Orthodox and Muslim values and discussion
of the state of various believes in Georgia. The delegation of the
Armenian Diocese of Georgia headed by His Eminence Bishop Vasken
Mirzakhanian partook in the conference.
The Press Office of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia informed
"Armenpress" that the head of the Armenian Diocese of Georgia Bishop
Vasken Mirzakhanian blessed the activity of the conference and wished
prosperity to its participants. He also underscored the spirit of
tolerance, which now exists in the Georgian society for activity of
the representatives of various denominations, which is pleasing God.
The report of the Chairman of the Organization of Armenian Writers of
Tbilisi, historian Yenok Tadevosyan was of a certain importance for the
attendants, which was dedicated to the history of the Diocese of the
Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia and Armenian community as well.
